Help your brain to hear more

We hear with our brains, not our ears, and that’s why it’s important to give our brains the best quality sound information we can. Our brains link sound to meaning. When hearing loss is an issue, we miss out on important sounds that help our brains learn and develop, meaning our brain needs to work harder. So, the more severe the hearing loss, the more effort is needed to make sense of the sound. Just like running a race, the more effort we put in, the more tired we become, the harder our brain works (due to a hearing loss) and the more energy we dedicate. As you can see, hearing is actually thinking, and understanding speech takes effort.

During education and cognitive development, you need to give your brain as much good information as possible. When you have hearing loss, we need to replicate a natural sound environment as closely as we can and provide your brain with the best conditions to hear in. This is what Opn can do.
